The Bachelor of 音乐艺术 degree provides undergraduate preparation in music and multidisciplinary curricula with intellectual, 务实的, and professional objectives. The curriculum for each Bachelor of 音乐艺术 degree stresses an interdisciplinary or multidisciplinary approach for each student.
Accelerated Bachelors / Masters Degree
The 学院 Arts and Sciences offers majors leading to the bachelor of arts degree in music. Emphases are available in music history, ethnomusicology/Jazz, and performance studies. RECORDING TECHNOLOGY MINOR
The recording technology minor is a supplementary program that allows students to become familiar with the equipment and techniques of a recording studio. By means of elective courses, students can emphasize either the business or technological aspects of the program, or create combinations of them.
Jazz小
The Jazz minor is a supplementary program of courses and performance experiences presenting the historical and stylistic features of Jazz. The Jazz minor may be added to existing undergraduate degree programs in music Composition, 音乐教育, music history and literature, 或者音乐表演. 学生 interested in the Jazz minor should consult their department chair and the coordinator of Jazz studies for assistance in planning for the additional required coursework. 学生 are required to pass an entrance audition.

The music industry minor is a supplementary program that allows students to engage with and explore the many facets of music industry. By means of elective tracks, students can emphasize either the business, 促销活动, or recording aspects of the program. This minor is open to all University students; no performance audition required. The 音乐艺术学院 has achieved national recognition by training talented musicians for professional careers in performance, 音乐教育, Composition, Jazz, music history and world music. The college presents nearly 600public concerts each year and is a major cultural resource for the campus and northwest Ohio.
- 学生 receive individualized instruction in the Moore 音乐艺术 Center—one of the nation's finest music facilities—which has a state-of-the-art computer lab and music technology and recording studios.
- Nearly 60 full-time faculty are active teachers, scholars and performers with national and international reputations.
- 音乐ensembles-orchestra, 乐队, 唱诗班, small groups and world music ensembles—are open to all University students (some by audition).
- The Batchelder Residential Music Community and the Arts Village Residential Community are conveniently located across the street from the Moore 音乐艺术 Center.
- Approximately 90 scholarships are offered annually to incoming students to recognize musical and academic achievement.
