A day of double reed performances and classes open to bassoonists and oboists of all ages and abilities. 欢迎音乐教育工作者参加. Everyone should bring their instrument and repertoire regardless of signing up to perform.

Please note that registration will only be available online. Registration closes Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 4:00pm. The $10 registration fee includes access to all activities for the day. Parents/Guardians do not need to register in order to attend the event. Nonetheless, they are expected to remain with their child(ren) throughout the course of the event. 参加者应自备午餐.

猎户座拉普 is Principal Oboist of the Fort Wayne Philharmonic, a position he has held since the fall of 2013. Before that he was the Principal Oboist of the Illinois Symphony 管弦乐队, 他经常在那里担任独奏家. In 2019, Orion received the Outstanding Artist Award from Arts United of Greater Fort Wayne.

Orion also maintains an active performance career nationally. He has performed as principal oboe with the Cincinnati Symphony 管弦乐队, 圣地亚哥交响乐团, 卡拉马祖交响乐团, 以及代顿爱乐乐团. He has also been a guest oboist with the Indianapolis Symphony 管弦乐队 and the East Coast Chamber 管弦乐队. Orion made his New York debut in 2013 in a production of Benjamin Britten’s opera, 《强奸卢克丽霞."

Orion studied at Rutgers University, and the Cleveland Institute of Music. His previous teachers include Nathan Hughes (principal oboist of the Metropolitan 歌剧 管弦乐队), Frank Rosenwein (principal oboist of the Cleveland 管弦乐队), and 德怀特·帕里 (principal oboist of the Cincinnati 管弦乐队).

艾米·波拉德 is the Professor of Bassoon and Associate Director for Performance at the Hugh Hodgson School of Music at the University of Georgia. She formerly served as Lecturer of Bassoon at Baylor University and has also been on faculty at the University of Dayton and the Cincinnati School for the Creative and Performing Arts. During the summer she teaches at the Sewanee Summer Music Festival and has been on the faculty of the Interlochen Arts Center Advanced Bassoon Institute, 佐治亚大学在亚历山德里亚的海外留学项目, 意大利, 萨尔堡音乐节, 德国, 以及亚特兰大室内乐节. She has taught master classes at conservatories and universities throughout the United States and internationally as well as serving as a guest artist for numerous double reed festivals and clinics.  

Pollard holds positions as principal bassoon with the Atlanta Ballet 管弦乐队 and second bassoon with the Cincinnati Chamber 管弦乐队. She is an active freelance performer and frequently performs with orchestras throughout the Southeast and beyond. Pollard also serves on the administrative board for the Meg Quigley Vivaldi 竞争 and Symposium as part of the 竞争 Committee.

Pollard has presented solo recitals at venues across the country and internationally and has performed as a soloist with the University of Georgia Symphony 管弦乐队, 风合奏, and Wind Symphony as well as with the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music Chamber Players. 一个狂热的室内音乐家, she has performed at venues throughout the country and also in Ireland, 比利时, 阿根廷, 意大利, 和德国, and Thailand with such groups as the Georgia Woodwind Quintet, 贝勒大学木管五重奏, 代顿爱乐乐团木管五重奏, and the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music Chamber Players. 她的低音管打击乐二人组, 莱诺上校和她的大管二人组, Dueaux, have performed recitals and presented master classes at numerous venues throughout the country.
