The BGSU 部门 公共安全 consists of three units: Police, 停车服务, and the Shuttle Service. The BGSU警察 employ 24 full-time, armed police officers that are state certified and receive extensive training in the use of force. 停车服务 人员 regulate parking to reduce traffic congestion and improve pedestrian safety. The Shuttle Service provides transportation options to the campus community.

The mission of BGSU's 部门 公共安全 is to ensure a safe, 安全, and orderly campus for students, 教师, staff and visitors at Bowling Green State University, thereby contributing toward a positive learning environment.

The 部门 公共安全 recognizes and supports, in action and in spirit, the mission of Bowling Green State University. We continually strive to improve the quality of service the campus community receives. We actively investigate problems and incidents and search for positive solutions that will support a sense of 安全 throughout the campus.

The Director of 公共安全 reports to the University's Vice President for Finance and Administration. The department provides law enforcement, 安全, regulates parking and traffic, 航天飞机服务, campus escort service, motor vehicle services and educational programs for the campus community.
