The BGSU 文学硕士 大学生人员 prepares practitioners for positions in student affairs through the integration of college student personnel (CSP) theory-based coursework emphasizing student learning, 成长与发展.

Professional internships complement theory skills in college or university settings.

Both aspects of this program enable you to become reflective a student affairs practitioner who combines knowledge and skill with your personal and professional values as you serve students from all walks of life.

Our goal is to prepare generalist college student affairs professionals. Still, because each student has personal and professional student affairs goals, you will have the opportunity to select elective classes and practica, allowing the you to develop unique areas of knowledge and skills.

Curriculum

The 42-credit-hour master’s in college student personnel program requirements include a balance of classroom-based academic learning and field-based experiential learning.  

College student personnel students will be challenged by taking on professional responsibilities in an internship where they will be exposed to several theoretical frameworks providing a foundation for understanding many facets of the undergraduate learning experience.

International study abroad courses are offered to help students gain exposure to other cultures and the practice of higher education student affairs in institutions abroad.

The capstone project allows students to showcase their 成长与发展 through projects developed during practica, 实习和班级项目.

Career

The BGSU CSP master's program is enriched by an outstanding network of more than 1,800 student affairs alumni who are happy to assist in placing new graduates in colleges and universities nationwide and in other countries. 

CSP校友在入学服务, mid- and senior-level positions and hold posts such as faculty, deans, vice-presidents and presidents of universities worldwide.  

The CSP program also prepares students to enter top doctoral programs.

Accreditation

州立鲍灵格林大学 [BGSU] is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.  BGSU has been accredited by the Higher Learning Commission since 01/01/1916. The most recent reaffirmation of accreditation was received in 2012 - 2013. Questions should be directed to the Office of Institutional Effectiveness.

The 大学生人员 program was reviewed in the academic year 2018-2019.
